As society has become more complex, the prosecution of legal cases increasingly requires a multidisciplinary approach. While an attorney is still very important to orchestrate and develop the case through examination of witnesses and presentation of applicable legal principles, the final outcome of the case hinges on the expert investigation, interpretation and presentation of the facts.
Just by way of example: an accident reconstruction expert might be necessary to explain why an automobile accident occurred; a medical doctor or psychologist might be necessary to the physical and emotional trauma sustained by a victim; an engineer might be necessary to explain the causes of why a building collapsed; a forensic psychologist might be necessary to assist a judge in determining appropriate child custody and visitation; a compute expert might be necessary concerning issues related to damage caused by a computer virus; the opinion of residential and/or commercial real property might be necessary to assist in the resolution of community property issues or the dissolution of a corporation. The list goes on and on and will continue to grow.

Attorneys and their clients need a fast way of learning the identities of professionals who are available for the development and rendering of information on complex factual and legal issues. Many times this information is not readily available. In many cases, professionals are selected solely by word of mouth or trial and error. Lawvue, through its PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES site, provides a standardized comparative directory of professionals from a variety of disciplines. The purpose of this site is not to endorse any particular professional over another but, rather, to enable each professional to provide to prospective clients that information which is most relevant to the client in their decision to consult with and/or retain the professional.
